As a licensed ham radio operator I am always looking to add to my collection of equipment. At one time I would collect, trade, and sell transceivers, receivers, transmitters, linear amplifiers, antenna tuners, and amateur radio accessories. At this point in time I am mainly a collector. Trading partners are hard to find in 2018. There are few local operators in NYC and most are well past the half century mark. It’s hard to sell working or even non-working electronics on ebay these days with the recent 180 day paypal money back guarantee, even eBay’s 30 day money back warrantee is a dastardly way to stop the occasional or hobby seller. You end up getting back(returned) half of the equipment missing or having substitute parts installed. It’s not the ebay of years gone by when the playing field was level and both buyers and sellers could leave truthful feedback. NOW, a buyer can only have positive feedback next to his or her name no matter how badly he/she rips off a seller. Crazy right? What’s the point of having feedback if a buyer can only have positive feedback. As a seller your not allowed to leave any thing but positive feedback to a buyer. The only check off is positive with a reason.  What’s the point? They want all buyers to feel good about ebay even if they less then honest or ethical. So selling on ebay is no longer a viable option. So why do I buy equipment? Same reason people collect trains, slot cars, rc planes, etc. I like to switch out my equipment every week and experiment with other brands and models of gear. I even give some of it away to hams who need replacement equipment but don’t have the funds. Ham radio is a truly a hard sell these days. The # of amateur radio people are becoming extinct with no new younger operators to take their place. When our generation is gone there will be NO more amateur radio. At 58 years old I am the second youngest guy I know of in my city I live still transmitting on the ham radio. Sad, but true. Anyway, if you have equipment you would like to sell and don’t want the stress, fee’s, rules, packing, writing descriptions, taking pictures, forgetting to mention the pin sized nick on the transceiver case and getting a return, etc. Give Cashforstereos.com a call at 718 698-2428. Let me know what you have as far as larger units such as receivers, transceivers, linear amplifiers, Transmitters, Antenna tuners, etc. I will come up with a Cash price to buy your equipment. Thank you.
