I do…But what do I do with it? There are three things one can do with vintage equipment. Keep, restore and use it, trade it, or sell it. I do this stereo buyer thing more as a collector then anything else. It’s a poor investment so it’s not solely about money. Electronics have been my hobby/interest since I was a little kid. CB radio, hi fi, ham, stereo was a big thing in the 1960’s, 1970’s and 80’s. At one time there were old timers I could trade equipment with. Unfortunately, they are all gone. Selling was great at one time, ebay was the premier venue for selling used equipment. Not anymore, you can’t be a successful seller when your forced into a long term money back guarantee, high fees, and all around anti-seller policies. We are talking twenty five – fifty year old items, not that many people want this stuff anymore. I still sell some equipment but it’s not easy and many times not profitable. Basically I buy the equipment for my own use and try to sell the pieces I can’t use. If you have old equipment you would like to turn into cash give me a call at 718 698-2428… with brands and models. Thanks.
