Cashforstereos buys used Marantz equipment.   Saul Marantz invented many types of high fidelity audio units. He created them about 70 years ago in New York.   Marantz loved music. He spent his life trying to make music sound fantastic.  He was very successful.  Many of his durable and long lasting units are still around today.

Marantz Equipment

Firstly, Marantz used vacuum-tubes in his stereos.  He invented amplifiers, preamplifiers and tuners that used tubes. Over time technology changed. Marantz began to include transistors.  People could buy tube units or transistor units.  Many of his stereo models never changed over time.  They were so easy to use and there was no need to change.

Secondly, Marantz eventually designed receivers.  Many people bought his receivers. They combined an amplifier, preamplifier and tuner in one piece. These receivers had the same quality as his separate pieces. Other audio companies tried to copy his designs.  Some produced good products but they were considered second to Marantz.

Lastly, Marantz branched out into speakers.  He eventually sold his business to Superscope.  Marantz is considered a pioneer in superior audio design. In fact, Levinson audio modeled their units based on Marantz design. Saul Marantz’s equipment is still around today.  Some people are not into the vintage audio equipment.
