Cashforstereos.com Has Been Buying/Collecting stereo equipment in NY and NJ for Forty Years

Well before the internet I was buying, tinkering, experimenting, collecting, modifying, enjoying Stereo, Ham/CB radio equipment. This electronics addiction has been going on well over 40 years. Now my son plays the guitar so I’ve added tube guitar amplifiers to the list of what we buy. If you do a search on Google, there are now dozens of ads, links, click-ons, etc. for “stereo buyers.” Many of ads lead you to a thrift, consignment, pawn, etc. site or store. These stores buy everything including the kitchen sink, most know less then nothing about electronics other then that a few brands are worth decent money. They don’t last long because they end up listing receivers, amps, etc. on ebay and high-end audio sites. Descriptions are vague because they simply don’t know what they are doing. Buyers start returning equipment because descriptions aren’t very descriptive and no basic testing has been done other then power up. These stores, companies, wanna-be dealers don’t know the first thing about testing the functions and features on a mid-century receiver so they simply state it works because it powers up. They learn their lesson fast when the equipment starts coming back and they lose money. As for me, I buy electronics and I don’t even plug the equipment in. Not only do I sell some equipment I collect, repair, restore, and use much of it. I don’t care if you have a Babe Ruth Rookie card, or Lionel trains, or valuable art or coins. I am focused on buying the electronics mentioned on this site. I don’t have a junk store or a junk yard filled with everything from soup to nuts. Just electronics, that’s my thing.
