I am asked this question all the time, “how much is my stereo worth?” After viewing ebay and other online auction sites many individuals feel they have Gold! Ebay and the internet selling sites are a double edged sword. Do you know how to pack that 50lb monster receiver? If it doesn’t get to the buyer in the same condition it was shipped in, it’s coming back to you. Now you have a bent up piece of unsellable junk. And what if the buyer substitutes his same model in poor condition and ships it back as item not described. Don’t forget, you have write a description being critical of what is right and wrong with your equipment. Of course before you pack it, it has to be thoroughly cleaned. And then there are those pesky pictures you have to include in your selling spiel. We can’t forget the 6 month PayPal money back guarantee, and eBay’s 30 day refund policy that every dishonest buyer is not taking advantage of. You…sell an amplifier and it goes to California. They buyer wants a refund and sends back a stripped down amplifier instead of the unit that you originally sent him. Ebay refunds his money from your credit card or bank account. What are you going to do, you live half way across the country? You can do nothing, you just got ripped off with no recourse. You could always fly out to California or where ever to take this individual to small claims court, lol. Just kidding, so your stuck. The only place you can sell your old equipment is on ebay or an esoteric stereo sight which involves loads of work and risk. I know…Craigslist which has become a breeding ground for no-good-nicks and other assorted vermin. I pay 1/3-1/4 of the average completed auction prices on ebay which is fair considering #1 I do all the work. #2 I take all the risk. #3 I pay cash. #4 I am No Stress, No Drama. #4 No paper trail, plus I don’t charge or collect tax, lol. #5 I come to you. #6 I buy working or not and don’t even plug your equipment in. I can keep going but you get the idea…Give me a call at 718 698-2428 or visit my website at cashforstereos@gmail.com to sell your vintage stereo equipment. Let’s make a deal!
