We Buy Old Stereo Equipment…Working, Non-Working, Sometimes Working

I Buy Old stereo equipment in New York and New Jersey. We don’t sell it, rent it, repair it, trade it, etc. We Just purchase or BUY your old equipment. It doesn’t have to be working, much of what I buy needs repair or restoration. That’s fine, I don’t even plug the equipment in to test. The only requirement is that the equipment is in good cosmetic condition. That’s it…if it’s something I could use, I am interested in buying it regardless of working condition.                 Many out here on the internet are both buyers and sellers. Then what do you do with all the electronics you buy? I am a collector, experimenter, restorer, hobbyist, etc. Sure, I sell a few pieces here and there but it’s surely not a money maker or business. The only place you can really sell electronics anymore is on ebay or a few esoteric audio sites. Ebay and paypal force you into a 180 day money back guarantee. How can you sell something a half century old with a guarantee let alone even a warrantee? That’s right you can’t, it’s a recipe for disaster, a no win situation for the seller. That’s why some of the asking prices on ebay are ridiculous. The seller is trying cover him or herself for losses which are astronomical on big heavy, old electronics. Some stores still exist that sell second hand electronics. The stores are basically used car lots, only they sell pre-owned stereo and hi fi equipment instead of autos, if that makes sense. Selling anything used (that has to work) for a living usually is a brutal way to make a buck. When it comes to material things it’s not if they break or malfunction it’s when. Used car salesmen have a bad rap they are selling old or used automobiles, of course most turn out to be disappointments to the new owners. The original owner usually uses the best years of cars life and then dumps it. It’s now sold as a used “creampuff.” Have you had a brake job, or replaced tires recently? Some oil changes for cars made in the last ten years will cost you over 100 bucks. That’s right…just for an oil change with their super duper, synthetic, jet age, slippery viscosity, etc.  Then they blame the sales person or company for the problems, breakdowns and associated costs.
