Wanna see something funny? Go to Google and type in “Sell my Old Stereo” or “Who Buys Vintage Audio Equipment.”  In NY or NJ. The same guy(s) come up over and over. In fact the whole first search page comes up with the same company/buyer(s). We do this, and we do that, and we’re the best, brands and pics galore, they boast in so many words…Got me thinking. I rarely use the internet to rate a product or service. It’s the person(s) who spend the most money on advertising showing up the most frequently. Does that mean they are the best at what they do, or have the best prices? No, it just means that they have spent more money for better placement and more pages. I sat here and thought…wholly S%$^T look at all these pages of propaganda just to buy some old stereo equipment. Do these people really make a living doing this? Although I pay Cash for your equipment, for me it’s a hobby, a past time, something I enjoy. I give away half of the stuff I acquire, lol. I keep some, I trade some, and yes I sell some. But, I, me, Dave is retired, this is not my main source of income. My money making days are over, I have an intrinsic love for electronics. The roof of my home is covered with antenna’s from dipoles to verticals. Used for transmitting and receiving on different Ham radio bands. I have an old school workshop with a bench, oscilloscope, meters, etc. Unlike the big business feeling I get when I search google for buyers of electronics I am no where near what they are about.  I do this for fun/enjoyment/and lastly to make a few bucks. I don’t have page after page of the same or slightly altered theme meant to brainwash prospective electronics sellers. I am just a regular guy who is easy to deal with. I buy old stereo equipment and amateur radio gear. I don’t state anything other then that I will come to you with cash and buy your equipment if it’s cosmetically nice and complete. I buy both working  and non-working. I like the challenge of repair and although much of the vintage equipment works today it can stall out tomorrow. I simply don’t care, I buy “as is” working or not.                                                                                                                                                                                  As previously stated, I am easy to deal with. I am prompt, I won’t degrade your equipment, I am courteous and respectful, and most importantly I will show up on time. And no, I won’t leave an oil stain on your driveway with a 1973 van, lol.  Again, this is Not how I make my living so I strive for a stress free, pleasant transaction and experience.  I pay Cash so there is none of that paypal, tax, etc. paper trail that will come back to haunt many internet buyers/sellers in the future. I am personable and will answer the phone when I am here. If I am not here the answering machine records your message and I will call you back asap. And, I will call you back even if the equipment your selling doesn’t interest me(and give you alternatives where to sell it.) Since this is not a store front I don’t have an axe to grind and there is never any pressure or stress. I don’t have all the shmaltz and glitz of the other guy(s) websites (I only have one), but it’s the same or better outcome. Unlike others I am not boasting my attributes or making selling your audio equipment as important as your first child getting married or your next weeks doctor visit. Simple, I am a regular, retired, working guy, who will pay Cash for your Old stereo and ham radio equipment…Working or Not.
