Warning to Sellers, what’s hot right now is the PARTIAL REFUND SCAM. What’s that???? You sell an item on the “Bay.” Next you receive the wonderful “item Not as Described” email. Now the Buyers/Sellers have the check box option to opt for a Partial Refund. This is wonderful for the buyer, it’s a built in discount for those who feel they are entitled to a better deal or break then everyone else. Once you receive this email it will offer multiple options. Some of which are: Refund in full upon return of the item, Refund without return, Partial refund, etc. Most sellers will opt for partial refund. Why? Because you know if you opt for the buyer to send the unit back you will get something destroyed and unrecognizable from what you sent out. For one reason or another it won’t show up to your door in the condition it was shipped out in(internally or externally or both.) Next, your not going to refund the buyer his money and let him keep the Scott 299 tube amp you spent time repairing, cleaning, etc. So the logical choice is a partial refund. You figure: I’ll send this crook a % back to get rid of him and maybe still receive decent feedback on the item. You know the old jerk understands the Scott is a half century old and it’s not going to be new in any respect. Or maybe you have a new age millennium who doesn’t know a hole in the wall from… Most young people are clueless today. Yes, a few capacitors are noisy and one or two lamps are out at minimum. Or it’s just he is a Pig/hog who has to rip the working guy off to feel he has gotten over on a 50-100 dollar bill. He feels justified in scoring a rip off on anyone and anything because he didn’t prepare for the future and 50 bucks really is something  substantial when your 78 years old, lol. Don’t worry, what comes around goes around and it will happen to him ten fold. It’s like the guy who treated girls like crap and uses them for sex and spits on them after, during his younger years. He eventually marries and then has three daughters, lol. You get the meaning….Anyway, this is the newest crap shoot when selling on the “Bay.” Expect to be extorted for partial refunds to receive good feedback. That is why sellers charge a little extra for shipping and packing. To pad themselves from the no-good-nicks who rip them off on a weekly basis. Everyone suffers for the acts of the bad guys. Sad, but true.
